744 Thursday Evening Wheel Throwing Adults/18 & Older

Course Description Level: Adult, Intermediate and Advanced

This class is designed for students with some wheel experience looking to take their work to the next level. Weekly demonstrations will focus on more advanced forms including larger two and three piece vessels, decorative lids, and large platters. Advanced surface and glaze application techniques will also be explored. Classes will include a brief weekly group critique designed to help students develop a more critical eye towards their work.
The $40 material fee is included to cover the first 25 lbs of clay, use of tools and glazes, as well as firing. You will also have an opportunity to come to designated open studio times to practice your technique. Open studio time is not an instructional time, but a time to work on methods taught earlier in the week and meet with other students to commune and discuss your work. Additional clay, glaze and firings are available. Pricing for those materials will be discussed the first day of class.
