Get excited about clay! In this class, young adults will be introduced to wheel throwing, hand-building and a variety of decorating and glazing techniques. We will be focusing on fun while exploring some of the methods used to make mugs, planters, vases and many other interesting forms and functions! 

The use of tools and the 1st bag of clay are included in the cost of the class. Just bring your imagination (and some shoes & clothes you don’t mind getting muddy)!

Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner! Together we will study our daily dining rituals, celebrating the cups, plates, and bowls that make our meals special. Our focus will be on wheel throwing with some supplemental hand-building techniques. All levels of potting experience are welcome!
The $35 material fee is included to cover the first 25lbs of clay, use of tools and glazes, as well as firing. You will also have an opportunity to come to designated open studio times to practice your technique. Open studio time is not instructional time, but a time to work on methods taught earlier in the week and to meet with other students to commune and discuss your work. Do you love playing in mud? Make “mess” into a masterpiece by joining Holly Zajur for a week-long pottery course to master your pottery skills. Whether you are new to the wheel or looking to grow as a potter, this camp will help you to master your mind and your art behind the wheel! From learning how to make your first pot to creating a more detailed masterpiece; students will leave class with finished pieces to share with family and friends, and a reminder of the ability to create anything! Be ready to get messy! This course includes a $35 materials fee. Materials include one 25 lb bag of high fire clay, firing fees, and use of glazes, and tools.

Tiffany Ray will share her experience with your young artist to help them build a love for sewing. We will learn some of the following basics: machine threading, bobbin winding, hand sewing, straight stitch & zigzag stitch, sewing on a button, and more all while completing small projects. This class is perfect for new sewers as well as more experienced sewers. A materials fee of $12.00 is included in the registration fee for fabrics, thread, and supplies. ALL NEW LESSONS

Learn how to layer graphite, color, and ink to create 3D effects in this mixed media drawing and painting class. We will begin with graphite and ink & learn how to add value and depth to our drawings. Students will learn how to use color effectively to create the illusion of shadow, as well as how to layer and mix color to match the appropriate hue in a variety of drawings and paintings. 308 Thursday Evening Wheel Throwing Adults/18 & Older

This class is designed for students with some wheel experience looking to take their work to the next level. Weekly demonstrations will focus on more advanced forms including larger two and three piece vessels, decorative lids, and large platters. Advanced surface and glaze application techniques will also be explored. Classes will include a brief weekly group critique designed to help students develop a more critical eye towards their work.
The $35 material fee is included to cover the first 25 lbs of clay, use of tools and glazes, as well as firing. You will also have an opportunity to come to designated open studio times to practice your technique.
